Sinky Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Just wondering if it's possible to crossfire with my current motherboard. I'm currently using the Asus M4A785D-M Pro. Available slots are 1x PCIe x16, 1x PCIe x1 and 2x PCI. Now I can see I have two PCI Express slots but only one of them runs at x16 which worries me. If it would work, would it be worth it or would the x1 slot cripple the second card? Thanks. MTFDarkEagle Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Nope, not possible. The second card would not physically fit in the x1 slot, as that is much too small. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Sinky Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 Thanks for the reply, looks like it would end up cheaper to just go for a whole new card when the next upgrade comes.
