169th_Moose Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Hi, I’m not sure if someone else already reported this. I’ve noticed that when playing Lomac FC. While flying with AA 4x (antialiasing). While, closing in on formation. Was closing on the “dot”, my buddy, zoomed in on him, to get a closer look, he disappeared. Zoomed out, then he was back again. The 2nd time I’ve notice this issue was on a night mission while on final to Sochi. I could see the lights on the runway, Zoomed in to get a closer look. The lights disappeared (faded out). Zoomed out. They where back… Issue is not apparent when not using AA. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I’m not sure if it’s a driver issue. I’m asking for some feedback before I due some testing. Wondering if its only me or other Nvidia users are affected by this. Does ATI users notice this also? In game settings; Textures: High Scenes: High Terr Prld: 100Km Civ Traff: Yes Water: High Haze: Advanced Lights: All Visib Rng: Medium Effects: High Heat Blr: On Shadows: All Planar Color: 32Bit Resolut: 1280x1024 (Had to push up the resolution due that I don’t want to use AA with Lomac anymore due to this effect) I’m using; Nvidia driver version 77.30 BFG 6800GT/OC Cheers
Han Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Unfortunally, such effects are possible now. With Best Regards! Daniel Tuseyev Il-2: Battle of Stalingrad and Rise Of Flight projects manager
169th_Moose Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 Unfortunally, such effects are possible now. Thanks for the confirmation. Now would it be possible to have this fixed in the next patch? I know that your plate is pretty full as we speak. But I would think this consideration would greatly be an asset to the rest of the community, due that most of us prefer to fly with AA enable. Thanks in advance.
Han Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 If we'll have the ability than we'll fix it. With Best Regards! Daniel Tuseyev Il-2: Battle of Stalingrad and Rise Of Flight projects manager
JaBoG32_Chrissi Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 I noticed the same problem a few days ago while flying gunzo. 4x FSAA 8x AF @ 1024*768*32 ATi Radeon 9700 Omega Driver 2.5.36b Textures: Medium Scenes: Medium Terr Prld: 50Km Civ Traff: No Water: Medium Haze: Advanced Lights: All Visib Rng: Medium Effects: Medium Heat Blr: Off Shadows: Active Planar Kind regards, JaBoG32_Chrissi
ViperVJG73 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 This appearance can I don't validate. The new SLI rendering mode "SLI anti-aliasing" in the new NVIDIA driver 77.76 unforbidden 8x and 16x AA to adjust. The 8x anti-aliasing mode operated faultless, with 16x aa that we'll find to errors in the representations the Heat Blur effects.
