Just as the title says, I am looking for a place to buy two small 5"x5" LCD monitors that I can use for my MFCD's.

You're not going to find 5x5 monitors for a reasonable price. They are pretty much industry / military only. Your best bet is an 8" 4x3 monitor.

These are the ones I have. You will need a vga board and power supply to go with them.

Thanks, but I was looking for something with a little better resolution(at least 1024x768 for a 5"x5" square).

Will try looking on E-Bay though.

You're not going to find that kind of resolution on a monitor that small. That's 200 DPI nearly three times the average. It's nearly "retina display" quality from the iPhone 4. And again your not going to find a 5x5 square LCD display they just don't make them for general consumers. You'd have to look at having it custom made or buying the real military parts which will cost you several thousand per screen.

That seems kind of dumb considering I can get a twelve inch monitor to do 1920x1080.

But I guess if I want the high res, I will just have to deal with a bigger screen and just have it display the stuff in a certain area.

I looked through ebay also and there just isn't anything like that available. I saw 2x 3.5" monitors but they are also in 4:3 format and there is just nothing square.

They don't make things like that because lets face it, how many people would buy them... most certainly no "normal" person would want such monitor so why make them... if there's a handfull who would (like us simmers) it is way too expensive to make them in small quantities.

I don't know what your luck is to actually even find one, but say you do it will be way too expensive guaranteed and not worth it. You are better off getting 8" 4:3 monitors instead like most here did or go single larger screen and you could use HELIOS with it also at the same time.

Double check the stats on that 12" monitor, while possible I doubt it's really 1920x1080 native resolution. Be care of vendors that say can accept up to 1920x1080. What they are really saying is the video board can down scale from resolutions that high down to the LCDs native resolution. Verify that 12" monitors native resolution and it will probably be at max 1280x720.

Wrong, but I never said it was an LCD ;)

I just wish I could use the full 1024x768 res that my MFD's can do in game, on a 5"x5" square screen. I love industry, but sometimes it just screws you.

Screen arrived, works fine as a TV using a 12V 1Amp Power pack from an old phone, but no joy getting meaningful output over HDMI or VGA to the RCA plug on it so far using some adapters from Ebay. My HD5870 only has a HDMI and Display port adapters, which limits the options but it seems it will only allow a desktop to be extended to 2 screens which limits the option of getting the 3rd screen plugged in.
