711Hancer Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Does calibrate fnc under stby mode provides anything usefull or implemented in the sim? and one more curious question, point tracking is usefull only for moving targets?
Frostiken Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Non-functional. And I always use point-tracking unless I want to drop a CBU in the middle of a group... no real reason not to. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Non-functional. I suspected that it was, just did not seem worth modeling (like secure comms) and the wording in the manual was suspect (note the use of the word would). 3. Start Calibration (START CAL), system action OSB 19. This function would initiate a self calibration of the TGP. Although, it still should just say non-fuctional. CarneyUK Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 and one more curious question, point tracking is usefull only for moving targets? Can't confirm this, will have to try when I get home, but I am always in the habit of Point tracking and my reasoning is that if I lock a vehicle and it does start to movem, I won't lose the vehicle. 711Hancer Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Exactly what I mean. Point track is good for moving targets but when creating a markpoint for an immobile target, i.e an ammo depot, does it really create difference to point track or just simply slew the cursor, use laser and designate it with TMS right click
