dbeaty Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 For you experts, I have a couple questions about the TGP. I have programmed my cheapass Afterburner HOTAS with the various HAT switch controls using key modifiers so I can operate the TGP slew, TDM and CDM modes. I just figured out that the up TDM LONG is what is needed to transfer the TGP target to the HUD CCRP mode, as it will default to STP when you first select it. Is there a way to hand off points to and from the TGP. Can I hand off steerpoint to the TGP to slew it there automatically, and also using MAV's, how do you hand off TGP target info to the MAV seekers? Sinky Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 For slewing the TGP to a steerpoint make sure your in STPT mode and hold China Hat Forward Long ( Default key is 'V' ). For slewing MAV's to the TGP you will need to target the vehicle with the TGP and make sure the TGP is designating the SPI, switch to your MAV and hold the 'V' key once again. China Hat Forward Long will slew all sensors to your SPI. China hat aft long (c key) slews all to steerpoint. However by default the SPI is the steerpoint, so V key would work, unless you designate another SPI. Just checked the manual, never knew that, thanks. Most people make sure they're in STPT mode and hold V though, myself included. I'll start using that from now on, saves going from TGP into STPT just to slave it to the steerpoint after you've already targeted something. Especially if you are engaging using your mark points as target references. AlphaOneSix Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 China Hat Aft Long only slews the TGP to the Steerpoint, but from there it's simple to just set the Steerpoint as SPI then slave all to SPI with China Hat Fwd Long.

I have to fake it and use the keyboard. Asus P6 MB i7 6GB OC'd 3.8Ghz Win 7 64bit Cogage Cooler Radeon 6870 OC'd 975Mhz Core 1250 MHz RAM TM Afterburner TrackIR [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Aardvarking it

I only use my cheap flight stick now and I've got the most important hat's all bound to one hat control, just use modifiers. For example I use the hat to slew and if I use the hat while pressing CTRL I will be using the TMS. Shift is used for the boat switch and alt is used for the mic switches.
