Mechanist Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 There are many good templates in Lock-On for all flyables planes except the Su-25. This is my favorite aircraft so i've decided to make a high res template with correct panel lines, riveting, and weathering. After 40 hour of work approximately 35% is ready: Done: -Rear section panel lines and riveting -Mid section panel lines and riveting -Half of the nose section lines and riveting Left: -Wings panel lines and riveting -The othe half of the nose section lines and riveting -Weatherenig -Labels I hope i can update the state soon :) 1 "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."
JaBoG32_Viper Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Looks really good....keep workin' on it. We need Templates to repaint in a easier way as with the simple extracted .bmp's. Go ahead...
Mechanist Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 A little update: P.S.: How can I edit the title of the thread. "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."

504MrWolf Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 very nice work m8 ! I think you have started the rivets to early, the rivets start just fore of the exhausts and carry through to the tail. Ive double checked my Frogfoot book and im sure of it. Ive also made a very detailed template in 2048 pixels last year. Wolfie www.VVS504.co.uk www.lockonskins.co.uk

Ive also made a very detailed template in 2048 pixels last year. Wolfie Thanks! But i think the rivets are ok. I agree, most of the drawings are not include smaller rivest but this drawing does. In this state of the work all the rivets and the panel lines have the same size. Of course i will separate the large rivets and the small rivets so you will see the smaller ones just from very close, like on the Su-25T. P.S.: I newer know there was another template for the Su-25 beside Oxyds one. "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."
Mechanist Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 Updated. Please admins ,remove the "10% ready" from the title. Thanks! "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."
WR=012=SWU
Weta43 Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I'd probably agree with SWU - apart from the bit about the rivets - if I knew what he'd said ... Cheers.
swu Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I wished to tell that if MECHANIST the good fellow will make this work up to the end, it. I was limited as a result to it: P.S excuse for translation. http://www.online-translator.com/text.asp?lang=en WR=012=SWU
Alfa Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Updated. Please admins ,remove the "10% ready" from the title. Thanks! Ok done :) . Very nice work Mechanist - how far are you now? I could really use that template of yours for a little project of my own :D Cheers, - JJ. JJ
Mechanist Posted August 27, 2005 Author Posted August 27, 2005 Thanks guys! SWU: I can't really understand what are you try to say, so anybody somebody can translate the original russian post? Alfa: The template is 40% ready. In the matter of a week the panel lines and the rivets will be done. Then comes the weathering... "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."
Lemon Lime Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Swu tried to make the template too, but he didn't plan make such seriously detailed one. And he can't finish the template because he very busy on his work. But what he wanted to say in second post - Maybe, he wanted to to express one's thanks and respect Mechanist if he will finish this work. :) :) Коричневые очки никогда не поранят мозг. Mechanist Posted September 5, 2005 Author Posted September 5, 2005 Just a little update. Not much but i have to check out other things in the last few weeks. "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."
Shaman Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 OMG It looks fanstastic. Seems you are very dedicated to work with single pixels. The connections of textures where diffrent 3dshapes come together are very nice! I can't spot missallignments. I've used OXYD template for Su-25, that I've found very good as well. So you took a challange to make a better one. Wish you luck!
