I've been messing with this now for a few hours and for the life of me I have no idea what's going on. I'm about ready to throw heavy objects.

Played FC2 just dandy, no problems what so ever. Even got an A10 HOTAS from Thrustmaster.

Just got a new 32" HDTV with PC input and running it. Every other game I have hasn't thrown a fit at all.

FC2 refuses to load the engine. Neither does Black Shark or A10C.

I can get into menus in SP, the minute I try and do a quick start or even view a track, crash.

I can't even start MP because it loads the engine first I believe. Same result.

Things I have tried and not worked:

-Reinstall video drivers

-Reinstall DirectX

-Turn off all fancy settings for SLI and stuff

-Uninstall all mods

-Turn off all anti-virus and other background programs

-Even turn off the Thrustmaster TARGET software

I've build this system from scratch and this isn't my first rodeo. I have no idea why my system suddenly wants to do this. I can only link it to a recent windows update.

Other games seem to work just dandy.

This sequence misses "go into game settings and change video settings for simulation mode" step.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.... /headdesk

Went in, redefined the screen resolution for the new monitor, and what do you know, it all works.

Yeah, sounds to me like you just need to go into your graphics settings in each sim and check the screens resolutions and aspect ratios, make sure they are set for your new screen.

edit: aha beat me to it, good job :)
