Well my secondary 26inch monitor is FINALLY complete. I am using Gadroc's Helios profile and borrowed/stole the idea of mounting the MFCDs directly to the screen from another user on youtube (duranv1). Used two iPad screen protectors and cut them to size with a hobby knife, then velcro to attach them to the protectors. I am QUITE pleased with the results!

Sorry for crappy picture quality. I'm too poor to afford a camera now. Thanks DCS lol...

Hoping to get mine done over the next few days, 22 inch in my case. Just got a replacement MFD from TM (one of the originals had a bad LED). Excellent customer service BTW (2 days from France to the East Coast US).

Curious, what did you need the screen protectors for?

So the sticky velcro wouldn't destroy the lcd screen if I ever have to take them off. I really hope I never have to but you never know!

I see, never considered that. My plan is to only put the velcro along the two sides of the MFD that will attach to the monitor frame. I am going to use a rubber foot under the corner that is over the display area. Mine have to come off since I use both monitors for non gaming stuff too!

That's a really good idea. I would still look into some screen protectors just for a safety net. You know whenever the drunkard friends show up they are going to HAVE to mess with your sim, with no regard to your $200+ monitor lol...

Does the Helios software work like Hawgtouch, where you can click with your mouse? Or does it only work with touchscreens? I couldn't find any solid info on their site about it. Your setup looks great btw!

Mouse works just fine. Mine is a standard monitor...touch screen would be nice but the monitor was already here.

Most of them work on Gadroc's profile with a mouse. I am pretty sure you can program the ones that don't but I haven't learned the profile editor enough to do that yet. It seems pretty user friendly though.

Thanks for the compliment! I owe this set up to duranv1, Gadroc, and my brother in law. I wouldn't have even gotten close to this without their knowledge!

Everything should work with a mouse. I have poked around Gadroc's profile and some others. The touch screen is basically replicating the mouse just as if you were to hook up a pen/tablet combination, they would also function as a mouse.

Even if you have Helios or Hawg Touch running on a touch screen the mouse will still work as well.

Btw, I found that a small black cable tie is useful for securing the MFD cable. I just wrapped it around the frame next to the last OSB button so that the only cable hanging is a little half loop.

Can you post the files you used for some of us to try out?

Sure, http://www.scsimulations.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=48 is where I started. DL Helios and start messing with the .lua files to get them correct for your resolution. It IS going to take some trial and error. A good tip is to use print screen & the x, y coords (bottom left) in paint to help you determine the correct positions! Let me know if you need any help, I would be glad to assist.
