Havoc25 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Sometimes my weapons (bombs, rockets) will not work. I will have my MASTER ARM on, but it wont let me use weapons. On the Weapons Profile Page, even when I try to use the DMS to cycle thru profiles, it continues to say WEAPONS OFF on Profile . On the STAT page of the weapons profiles, out to the right where it would usually have "on" beside each profile, it has a dash. Ive tried cycling thru CCIP, CCRP, GUNS, NAV on the HUD to see if there was a conflict with any profile, but thats not it either. I've noticed it does this after I have created mission, Prepared Mission, created Weapons Profile, and then saved mission. But it doesn't do it all the time. At beginning of mission it will have correct profiles and ability to cycle. What's missing?
zamboni Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I've seen several posts that say the Prepare Mission can bork things up...that there are only a few things that you can change that will not goof things up. Maybe someone else can chime in with some specifics.
atledreier Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Have you tried activating the profiles in DSMS? Do the profiles and DSMS correspond with the actuall loadout?

WarriorX Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) You need to hit the LOAD ALL in the Data Transfer System (DTS) Upload page. This will load your weapons profiles, flight plan etc...into the aircraft's computer. After you power up your CICU Switch, your left and right MFCD's will turn white, then the DTS UPLOAD page will come up, thats when to hit LOAD ALL. When you hit LOAD ALL, small green asterisk's that are next to the individual LOAD Items on the left side of the DTS UPLOAD screen will dissapear. Wait until they reappear, this will indicate the successful transfer of data from the cartridge to the aircraft. SmokeyTheLung Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) I've seen several posts that say the Prepare Mission can bork things up...that there are only a few things that you can change that will not goof things up. Maybe someone else can chime in with some specifics. If things are screwed up because of a prepare mission conflict (i.e. the mission maker "prepared" the mission, then changed the weapons load-out) the only way to get weapons to work will involve replacing the unit in question in the editor. IIRC switching the load-out back to the one used during the "prepare mission" won't even do the trick. However, WarriorX probably knows better than I, best to try his method first Edited May 19, 2011 by SmokeyTheLung System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Havoc25 Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 I've tried this several times and with different created missions. It only happens after I've saved profile in PREPARE MISSION. I've attached some pics of Weapon Profile Page. You'll see the profiles but you cant turn them on. LOAD ALL was done correctly each time. Also I seem to get weird, unexplained failures. I dont have any failure set but things like my CICU going bonkers and my left MFCD conking out; during startup, my IFFCC wont display any info on HUD in TEST mode. Once my right engine starts puffing black smoke for no reason, lost oil pressure and had to land turn around for emergency landing. My wheel brakes were stuck closed once. All of this after I've saved prepared mission. Its not a biggie, I can recreate my profiles at beginning of each flight, but I do wanna know why its happening.
