Sierra99 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 That's a KC-10 at that part... it has the capability to extend the boom or the probe and drogue... however the KC-135 can only use the boom, with a probe and drogue attachment (as seen on the second video). That's the problem.... will ED have to make a KC-10 model and re-think it's refuel procedures or just add the attachment and think of a way to justify aircraft with the female receptor, refuelling on a tanker that has already refuelled a F/A 18 with the probe and drogue attachment, making the normal boom inoperable? Which is an issue faced by mission planners worldwide everyday...;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Primary Computer ASUS Z390-P, i7-9700K CPU @ 5.0Ghz, 32GB Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 @ 3200Mhz, ZOTAC GeForce 1070 Ti AMP Extreme, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe drives (1Tb & 500 Gb), Windows 10 Professional, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Thrustmaster Warthog Stick, Thrustmaster Cougar Throttle, Cougar MFDs x3, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals and TrackIR 5. -={TAC}=-DCS Server Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3, i7-3770K CPU @ 3.90GHz, 32GB G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 @ 1600Mhz, ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 970.
FunktasticLucky Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Here's a quick video of a couple F-18's getting refueld by us this weekend. We drug these guys back from Guam to Japan. This is obviously a clip from a much longer video. Enjoy this from the Boomer's perspective in 1080P :) Edited June 12, 2012 by FunktasticLucky 1
