My X52 stick stopped working

The throttle is fine though.

 

I always had to unplug my stick from USB and then re-plug it again in order for it to work. It's some sort of a reset thing.

 

Unfortunatelly, today, it didn't work anymore. Repluging it didn't do the trick.

 

As I said, the throttle works fine. I opened the base of the stick and all the cables and wiring look ok, no visible damage/problems. I didn't open the stick itself.

 

So..any helpful advice out there? What could be the problem? How can I fix it? What are the lottery numbers for next week?

Pro or regular?

 

I have a Pro. Is there any sign of life from the stick at all, lights?

 

If the two are connected by the same cable that the pro uses that would be my very first suspect. Mine actually shipped with a marginal cable that drove me crazy until I figured it out.

 

In case you are not aware, that cable is a standard PS2 cable, mostly used with old school KVM switches. Replacements are cheap (under $10) but you may have trouble finding one shorter than 6 feet.

 

I would also wonder if the point of failure, if it is visible at all, might not be inside of the throttle housing instead of the stick (assuming again that the stick is stone cold).

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like a faulty cable. I got it to work, for now. Hmm..gonna have to either fix it or look for a replacement.

They should be easy to find at any place that sell computer parts. Male PS2 to Male PS2, as I said they are usually on the long side.
