So close, so close, and yet...

As some may have noticed, I've been littering this area for months with issues

getting through the campaigns.

 

But between Eagle D., and some fine folks here, I am right on the cusp of

completion, and now the whole thing culminates in a >DOINK!?!<

 

It is "The Shore 12," according to the mission planner. The briefing page's

title is "Campaign Success." What the bloody hell is that?

 

Back to the mission planner. No flight routes, no loadouts, just the theater map

zoomed all the way out, SAM circles of Blue South, and Red North. Maybe there

is an auto-trigger or something in there, so I hit fly.

 

It goes through the normal routine, I see a quick SA-10 toolbar at the bottom,

and I get a Windows error, choose close program, and I get a Zero point debrief

from my last mission.

I remember when the campaign was the game. No one here has gotten to this

point yet? Not even the testers? I did a multitude of searches for Shore 12,

completion, etc. Nadda.

 

What a way to hit the end of the last campaign...

Well, I give up.

 

I tried tweaking this, and messing with that, and I just cannot find whatever it is

that trips the trigger for a campaign completion.

 

With the official announcement of this and DC being dropped, I reckon it will all

just go away in as a faded memory.

 

It's a shame, as I was THIS > < close...

I just opened it in Mission Editor, there is no Player flight and no Blue Task. I haven't finished a campaign yet but I guess this was telling you that you won? Or maybe the campaign was never finished.

 

I was hoping to start campaigns after the next patch but since they are taking two of them out of the game I guess they're broken?

Mission 12 is basically a cut scene showing Blue forces overrunning red IIRC you have no input to it.. You have completed the campaign and won it. However that said, this Cut scene miz is broken in 1.1.0.8

 

The 2 campaigns that are now kept in the EDFile exchange are 3rd party campaigns done for ED AFAIK. Support for those campaigns now lies with the author(s).

Not Necessarily broken (With the exception above), the reason for removal was never stated.
