Hi guys,

I have a load of hours clocked on the game but until now hadn't tried the campaing. On the first one, of the first campaign, the mission is to stop the advance of loads of tanks. my first question is, JTAC call the direction then, then, maybe 12 tanks later, tell me target not destroyed. I mean, there's close air support and there's winning the war for them..They seem to expect the latter?!

Secondly, is there any idle chatter like in DCS:BS? That game had some good effects for the guys on the ground talking, and even wingman chatting (like the first mission where you fly a familiarisation)

Is that present at all in A10?

Cheers

I just like to kill a big chunk of them. As you RTB you will see other Warthogs and Apaches heading out to take over from you. You could rearm and head back out as well, but I think you will progress to the next mission even though you havent been given the big thankyou from the JTAC

Dont know about the comms Q.

DCS:BS used lots of scripted, pre-recorded audio chatter in one of its campaigns. In DCS:WH, there is now dynamic audio chatter from all air assets, you just have to be tuned to their frequency to hear them. The capability for scripted audio is there as well, but I don't think any of the WH campaigns use it to the extent that that one campaign from BS did.

You didn't kill the tanks that the JTAC had assigned to you.

You need to kill the rigth tanks.

You can ask from jtac when targeted is these right targets/column.

Contact if i remember right.

This might be a spoiler so dont read if you think it is..

After JTAC tells you the area to place your SPI, you will see a few column of vehicles usually the front of the column are 10 tanks, then a few ZSUs, then some BMPs, etc. Your primary target are the first 10 tanks. If you successfully kill all 10 tanks JTAC will reply target destroyed and may give you a new group of tanks to attack.

Keep in mind, if you start attacking the tanks, you can respond to JTAC with option 1. COMPLETE. If you missed any tanks JTAC will tell you how many you killed and you can re-engage.

How do you put the JTAC coordinates into the TAD or CDU?

Sometimes when playing around with setting network groups on the TAD I'll get all the JTAC 9-line information as a message but I haven't found out how to set a SPI at the coordinates without using the on-screen labels
