BigToe Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I would like to use the three monitor option and have the abris and skival on the other two small screens in the mfd,s. can it be done?
BaD CrC Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 The "3 monitors" option exists only to be able to have the shkval on one screen, the ABRIS on the second one and the thirsd monitor for the main view. I assume you want to use three monitors for the main view? In that case you need to go either through a Matrox TH2G box or through ATI's eyefinity utility to merge your three screens into 1 virtual one. BigToe Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 thanks for the help so fast. There is a setting for three screens without the shkval and ABRIS. then there is the setting with them. I used both and they work but not with five screens. I tried the eyeinity utility and it works also but the zoom is way too big with the shkval and ABRIS setting. I would like to have more side view then the 1 front screen setting. In your pic the view is cut short top to bottom because of the long width. And one more question why does the side screens dip up and down when using the three screen settings with a track IR? That is a very nice set up you have there by the way.
BigToe Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 ok I have to go to work but after that I am going to try the shkval and ABRIS with the one main front screen setting and eyefinity with one large triple screen. I found this on the forum, it might fix my zoom problem. Option 2 – part 2 NOTE: These changes should NOT be made if using option 1 as zooming out greater then 180 degrees will look weird. BigToe Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 ok I got it to work it would be nice to have the zoom out at the start instead of having to press / before each mission. it works great with three screens in eyefinity and two usb screens for the ABRIS and shkval. If anyone has this setup and needs help send me a message I might be able to help.
BaD CrC Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Hi BigToe. Saw that you found the zoom in and out keys in your MP. Indeed, the default zoom when you are working with a triple screen configuration is not great and I had to bind a key on my joystick to zoom out. I can probably change the view.lua to have this done systematically when launching the sim. Thanks for your kind comment of my setup btw. :-) https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
