Bruins Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Every time I plugged in my Cougar, the computer went "crazy." If clicked on a folder, multiple folders would open. Unplugging it would return everything back to normal. Running the sim is impossible because the sim would load but becomes unresponsive to input. If I was able to plug the Cougar in without any problem, the sim would become unresponsive to control input sooner or later in the mission. Thanks for your help in advance. WarriorX Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Try holding your trigger in when you plug the USB into the computer. If I remember correctly, this will re-flash the profile to a default setting. Bruins Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 There update firmware for cougar ?! I never upped it... Yes, there's firmware update for the Cougar. Go to thrustmaster folder under program and you should see that option. Novac-185th Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Just a thought. Could one of the buttons on the stick be stuck, ie constantly transmitting a signal. Try using an event tester to see if the stick is sending a keypress. The thrusmaster TARGET software has a tester. Or even open up a blank word doc.

WarriorX Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Thanks WarriorX. I followed your instructions and so far it seems OK. Glad I remembered it, and that you got it sorted. Credit goes to James "Nutty" Hallows for that fix, he wrote the TM Cougar programming software Foxy. Very talented gentleman. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Is that you John Wayne?.......Is this me?"
