Earlier today I made a post about having problems getting a server to run.It turns out,as it usually happens, that it was my mistake and misunderstanding. I did not understand that you cannot run A-10C on more than one computer without purchasing a second activation key. I just started hosting FC2 and black shark missions and am able to use my home network to host on one machine and play on the other. That is the way it seems it should be. Now I have to decide whether or not to pay again for A-10C in order to host and play it on my home network. I do not believe this is right. If I purchase a game I should be able to use it on as many of my own computers as I want. I realize there is a huge problem with game piracy but this has gone too far. I am about ready to just delete everything and take it as a loss. This is an expensive simulator for just one aircraft and the same map as all the others. Do not get me wrong,it is a nice aircraft and it is a nice map. I just feel that I have a right to use this game on my home network with one activation key.;)

Incorrect. There's nearly /no/ commercial software that gives you that right. You are allowed to execute a copy on /one/ computer at a time. It's just that enforcing this part of the license has been pretty difficult until now.

That said, I'm sure the team will be looking at resolving issues with running a server and client simultaneously.

Yeah, the license and the law says no :)

It sucks. I had to buy a second copy to run my server (although net problems recently have prevented it running)

Those are two different products with two different CD keys. Once the A-10C/KA-50 compatibility patch is released you should be able to use one product to host for the other. However the addition of "ED-NET" might be a barrier as I doubt the same user will be allowed to login twice using 2 different products.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

If that is the case it would encourage people to make multiple accounts to keep their products separate. For this reason it may be in ED's interest to allow people to log into multiple modules at once. (so long as it is not the same module twice)

Besides, if DCS: Carl Vinson is ever made, some people would probably want to control their carrier while flying.
