ncimike3 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 In FC2 I recall there being an indicator in the cockpit which showed whether or not the air brakes were on or off. In DCS a-10C the gauge is missing and the only way to check the status of the air brakes is to look out the window. In heavy fog you can't even see the air brakes. What happened to the indicator? Is there no way to check on the air brakes without looking out the window? I think I saw a discussion that said the A model had one but they took it out because nobody used it. Keep in mind, if the fog is that thick, you will not be flying anywhere anyway!!;) I have gotten used to how much each momentary push of the switch moves them, although that actually varies with speed. The other thing is, when you have achieved the desired effect, by either opening or closing them, then they are right regardless of what position they are in.
