Thrustmaster Warthog - Tolerance on throttle

Hello,

 

I am setting up everything to play A10 Warthog and ordered the Thrustmaster Warthog. With the first one, I noticed that the LED are flickering (which is normal according to TM). Additionally, if you look down the throttle, you notice that there is no grease on the right side of the first one but small parts of plastic being scratched of the unit. The scratching comes from pulling the throttle arms up for moving them into the off position. Is this normal?

 

I got the next one because I was curious (and I can return them within 2 weeks) and compared to the first one, the right arm of the throttle is so tight that it will not be pulled down by the feather if you move it from off to idle. Flickering is the same.

 

My question is how many play of the throttle arms is normal and if you noticed any increase of play due to the plastic being scrateched off continually. Am I being nit-picking?

I think the shavings are normal over time, but maybe not so soon. That lack of grease is a problem though, I'd take it back and get a replacement.

I can't comment on the lack of grease, that's other people department. However, on the shavings: I think that's normall. At least, I have it as well.

FWIW, mine looks exactly like the pictures above.

Maybe someone can upload a video on how much play (=how far can you move the warthog from East to West or North to South without it being recognized as movement) his warthog has?
