Simulator.exe suddenly Trojan - Avira AntiVir

Hi guys.

 

I use Avira AntiVir Personal long time and LOFC to, but sudenly after Avira update my simulator.exe are detected like as Trojan. Two more our pilots use Avira to and have similar problem - after last Avira update. ... ooops when i wrote this post +one Avira detection in my squad. Defintley Avira is problem.

 

I know Avira had many ''fake malware'' reactions and detections but we never had problem with LOFC (simulator.exe).

 

If you see this event on your pc - dont click "Remove" button, click ''Details"...

 

In this window just click "Cancel'' and right click on Avira umbrella and uncheck AntiVir Guard. After that your simulator.exe are not blocked... for now.

Anyone have similar problem and can you test it for comunity?

 

I think better way is if ED comunity manager contact Avira and report this problem. I dont wanna change my antivirus and i dont wanna stop playing LOFC :). Avira must fix this problem.

 

P.S. + one pilot is test Avira and report same problem

I believe you can add simulator.exe to the exceptions list in AVIRA. See pic.

Yes Nate this work, thanks. :thumbup: But, why and what happens between FC and Avira?

I don't know - as you can see I have to do this with TrackIR too. Other Virus scanners clear TrackIR - but avira doesn't. It is just a false positive.
