Hi. I started playing multiplayer a couple of days ago and obviously that means I can't use my beloved mods. So I thought I'll do a dual install have one with mods for single player and one without for multiplayer. Install was fine although this time I put it in a Ubisoft folder with Lock On rather than in Eagle Dynamics to stop the computer saying there were two of the same in one place. Next I want to make my new install patched to 1.02 as well but when I click on the .exe in my downloads folder it says 1.02 is already installed when it's only installed to one. Can anyone help me with this?

Change the install location on the GUI of the setup program. Don't allow the auto install to attempt to place the folder in the default location, in other words.

I am on my laptop, so I can't spicific but it will read similar to C:\ xx/xxx/xx

You just want to change the C in the line to whatever other HDD you have, assuming you do have one, most do for back up and such.

Uhh couple of things. One thanks for the answer. Two, there's only C: on my computer and three, what UI of the setup menu. There's DCS_BS_Patch_1.0.2_EN.exe as a file and I can't change where it installs or anything. My second BS is on the same drive just in a different folder, Program files (x86)/ Ubisoft rather than Eagle Dynamics.

Right I just did a complete reinstall of both copies and now I see what you mean by the change location thing. I don't manage to get that far before it says 1.02 is already installed. I just say I want to allow this program to make changes and then it goes no further. I'm trying again now so I'll let you know.

Didn't work. I even downloaded a new copy of 1.02 from ED. The installs are both untouched. No luck. My second install this time is Eagle Dynamics/Ka-50(2) and Ka-50 is the default one both in Eagle Dynamics. The second one is C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50(2) and the first one is C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50 in case you're wondering.

Got it, second patch is installing now. It turns out I didn't have two installs, just two shortcuts for one thing. I did it properly this time and it works, thanks for the help. Another handy thing is this prompted me to download a new 1.02 from the DCS page so my options menu now works as well. 2 in 1.

OK one last thing. At the moment I have icons for the copy in Ka-50. I also want to be able to run the one in Ka-50(2). Where is the .exe (I think that's what it would be) in the folder that makes the sim run. I tried searching for it but the closest is Launcher .exe. If I try that I get an error message. "Cannot open \BlackShark\BlackShark.lua: No such file or directory"

Got any ideas.
