Nate Dogg Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Hi, Firstly i will tell you about the mod i found, some may even know about it. Its called FS passengers http://www.fspassengers.com Basically the mod allows you to create a company along with pilots. The demo version only allows taking off from San Fransico area with passengers. The idea is to fly passengers around, build flight time in aircraft and points. For new pilots you start out as a student pilot, and it shows how many hours/points requiered to progress further as a pilot. Points are earned by safe flying, good landings and such things. A little box shows your passenger satisfaction% and their addrenaline%, if your doing something that you shouldn't! As the addrenaline goes up their satisfaction goes down until the problem is over. Then the satisfaction goes up a little bit. (depends on what happened) At the end of each flight, there is a debrief screen, showing the points allocation and things that went wrong/well. My initial experience was like, wow, this is how stock FS2004 should have come out. It gives you purpose to your flying rather than just flying pointlessly. Below was person experience after about 3 hours of play. (im being deadly serious for those who don't believe me too!) I started a new career and flew my piper warrior around San Fransisco, then did a longer flight out to the west then ocross to the north for a while (on time compression) then all of a sudden, my passengers were scared to death because i was flying over a war zone!!!! WHat the? A few seconds later i was hit by small arms that destroyed my engine and electrical systems, then artillery that put a hole in the side of my plane! (found out in the debreif after i ended the flight). I sucesfully landed after declairing an emergancy on a wide road. Got like 2500 points for the way i handled the situation. The last comment on the debrief, was "thankfully their happend to be an brilliant person behind the controlls and no-one was injured" My god, that was just insane. The sound of the ground fire and artillery was just like F4. too bad fs2004 doesn't have a damage model. I just had no idea a civil simulation even had that sort of stuff. Incredible! Everyone go try it. obviously you need a copy of FS2004, or maybe 2002, not sure bout that, go check it out anyways. Cheers
4c САВО СРПСКИ Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 thnx for the link Nate Dogg, sounds really interesting. As I enjoy flying also in fs2004, I will try it as soon as I get back from MAKS, next week! =4c= SERBIAN VIRTUAL FIGHTERS SQUADRON

I spend most of my time flying C-17, C-130, C-119, C-5 and few other cargo planes as well :) If someone would like to do some FS2004 multiplayer adventure :) F.e. China2Nepal trip, with some oldschool planes.. I'm in.
