TMS Up long - can't get it to work

Hi all,

 

First off, this is my 1st post - a massive thanks to the awesome community here - you've helped me no end get in to this awesome game. OK, ass-kissing over, I need some help with my Tmaster Tflight hotas X.

 

I've installed Modman and the excellent dragon tutorials, in order to try to perfect my skills. I have no other mods installed at all. Everything is cool, I understand everything. Appropriate weapons profile selected, target picked out from JTAC ready to go.

 

Problem - the HOTAS TMS up (long) command won't work (in any mission now at all). I can't select any target. As you can see, this is sub-optimal:(.

 

Anyone got any ideas? Probably a clean install and not using modman etc would be the obvious candidate, but then I don't want to be stuck using no mods etc. Very grateful for any suggestions.

First of all, WELCOME! :)

 

As i know, to select a target you have to press TMS UP short. TMS UP long is used to make the target SPI

Of course if your TMS UP long isn't working, check if the button is programmed as a single button press. I mean it maybe activate the button for a short time even if you keep pressing it. Try to programm the button as "hold button", so it will be activated as long as you press it. Don't know another reason for your problem.

OK, so I got my terminology a bit mixed up - sorry. I don't think I'm able to select a target or set the target as SPI. I've attached a track (properly I hope)

 

TMS up is mapped to my stick properly, I've checked it out in the options menu, and all other stick assignations seem to be working properly.

Just an update, I uninstalled the dragon training pack, and everything seems to be fine. I'd love to use some of these add-on mission packs etc though, so if anyone has any idea why this seems to be happening, I'd be most grateful.

If you mean the Dragon's MP training missions, so i use them too (installed with MODMAN as well) but in my case everything is working well. No troubles with TMS here.

Sorry, that's what I meant. Don't actually need them anymore, I don't think, as JTAC all makes perfect sense having watched his excellent youtube videos.

 

I'll try again at some stage, as I did want to get on and just play the damn thing today, but I'll poke around a bit and see if I can work out what's going on. It's definitely something in the prog or the stick as I'm not doing anything differently.
