Problem With Re-arming

Wondering if anyone has run across this:

After a re-arm has been completed, I can see that the munitions are present in the outside view, but they do not appear on the MFD.

If the switch is flipped to safe, the munitions that were expended, appear.

Flipping back to arm, all hardpoints are empty, and the boxes are outlined in red.

I'm at v1.09, but had the same issue with 1.08.

Am I overlooking something here?

Thx in advance!

You are overlooking that your DTS cartridge still contains the data for your original loadout.

Either reload DSMS, or manually set up the weapon stations through DSMS page.

jr5x5, when you press the LOAD ALL button on your load page on your MFCDs for the first time when starting up the jet, what happens is that it loads the data from a memory cartridge fitted into the A-10 by ground personell. This data contains an inventory setup created by ground personell. When new ordnance is physically loaded on the jet, you have to manually enter the new payload into the payload inventory page of the DSMS. In this sim however, they actually seem to model it the way that the ground crew replaces the memory stick in your jet with a new one entirely containing an updated DSMS inventory, so you want to LOAD DSMS again from the load page.

Although this load page is not available once you have navigated away from it initially, you can bring it back up. This is done by pressing and HOLDING any of the OSBs until a screen appears. Here you can customize what appears on your MFCDs. Pick LOAD and press the OSB you want to replace it with, I usually choose STAT. Now press the OSB that says LOAD (formerly STAT), and the load page appears. Now press LOAD DSMS to load the DSMS again, and there you have it, now your jet knows about it's new payload.

In reality, though, I think they don't replace the memory cartridge, but the pilot has to update the inventory, although I cannot imagine that this takes any longer than physically fitting the new payload itself.

Happy flying! :)

Nice plane on that gun...

Has anyone noticed that in the 1.1.0.9 version you're no longer able to re-arm when doing training missions? I call the ground crew and nothing happens. It used to work in the previous patch but, not anymore ... just an observation..
