JECAF9 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Hi. I've been trying to teach myself how to make 3D models using blender and earlier I though I'd like to be able to have walls to put around FARP's so they're not completely vulnerable to anything. I created a basic model in blender that looks OK, still needs refining but it basically works. I was wondering how to put it into the game (BS 1.02) I'm guessing I'd have to export it as a 3ds file I think and then I don't have a clue. Do I have to create a .lua file for it or something like that. I'm fairly sure this is possible. I was told a while back that someone created models in Blender.
OldCrow Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 You can use Blender to create your models, but you will need 3dsmax to export the model to a lom/edm file which is read by the game. [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]
JECAF9 Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 Ahh, that kind of scuppers my plans. £3000-3,500 isn't really affordable. Could just get a few models finished. Download a free trial and quickly convert them into the game. :) Cheating obviously but not everyone has that kind of money.
joey45 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Re-install windows every month.... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
