Big Multiplayer Problem, my Friend can't lock in.. same Key?

Ok, before somebody blame me for something, please listen first.

 

I (we) ordered A-10C back then when it was in Beta stage for 60$, my friend gave me 30$ cause he don't have a credit card so we tryed the Game first and so on...we wasn't sure if this is a Sim for us..

 

ok now, 8 month Later, both of us erased the Game, did CCcleaner, Registry fix etc all that we Installed Version 1.1.09 (4.4gb -no patching) just the latest Download.

 

I was ask to Enter the Key I ordered (I got a new Mainboard, new System thats why the Game ask me to Enter a Key (serial), I did this and the Game is working, I can also lock in via Username/Password into the Main server..its all working..

 

but my Friend was never ask to Enter the Serial/Key again (he still got his old system) must be the Reason.

 

Ok, PROBLEM is, he cannot login to the server..he also don't get no error, his Username and password is correct, he don't get no message like "wrong/Username blabla" he clicks Login and it just stay Offline without a message..

 

We think, this problem is caused because we use the same Key, he wanted to Buy his "own" Key now, but he don't have a Credit Card..My Questions NOW:

1: Is it right that he cannot Login because we use the same Key in the latest Version?????

 

2: How can he Buy a Key without a Credit Card/ Paypal possible???

Err...

You realize that it is a EULA violation to share keys, right?

The license you obtain is personal. If you pruchase one license, that license is for you, not you and your friends.

 

As for how to purchase, there's many ways. Find a merchant that supports something he can access (Steam maybe?), or you purchase a copy on Steam as a gift to his account, or obtain a pre-paid Visa card.

Correct. You may not run the game at the same time from two computers with the same keys.

ok, thanks for clearing this up, I know that it's not "right", but we thought to try the game first, so i lost one key to my friend, anyway I thought about to use my credit card to buy a new key/licence for him..that should work right..and 40$ is not a problem.

 

but, how can he use his own key now, without reinstalling windows 7 again?? like i sayed, even when he uninstall tha game, and reinstall in a different folder, after cleaning tha registry with CCleaner and all that..he is still not ask to enter the licence key..

 

need some advice here cause he can not reinstall his OS..impossible right now..

Delete the registry entries for DCS, and it will ask him to activate.

Or IIRC you can run protect.exe and activate with a new key there.
