Could somebody give me a step by step guide as to how to get FreeTrack v2.2 working with DCS A-10C v1.0.0.9 on a Vista 32bit install.

I have followed a number of posts in these forums with no success.

I have copied the "headtracker" bin files into my DCS bin dir and have run the TrackIRFixer, but not sure if it is working. It just sits there saying...

"Seaching for running TrackIR games"

Then when I load the game it says...

"Detected DCS: A-10C (32bit)(dcs.exe)"

FreeTrack is working nicely and have had it tracking in another flight sim that supports TrackIR.

What am I doing wrong?

Please help. :helpsmilie:

I can tell you how I got it working in facetrackernoir. I put the 32bit dcs files in hte bin folder inside the headtracker folder (create it if it doesnt exist) then just use the freetrack protocol in your tracking program. You shouldnd need to run TrackIRFixer.

Thanks for the response Spikenet.

Could you elaborate on which 32bit dcs files I need.

I have created a "headtracker" folder inside my DCS A-10C\bin folder ie

DCS A-10C\bin\headtracker

What files do I need to put in this folder?

I have put the "Eagle Dynamics API interface DLL's" from the facetracknoir website in my bin\headtracker folder.

Is there anything I need to do in the DCS A-10C options menu from within the game?

Thanks

yes the ac10 files from facetracknoir website. Sounds like you are putting them in the right place. Nothing else needs doing apart from setup your freetrack software. try starting a couple of instant missions, maybe it needs to initialize the headtracker.dll ?? cheers

OK, here are the files in my DCS A-10C\bin\headtracker folder...

HeadTrackerDll.ccp

HeadTrackerDll.h

HeadTrackerDll.vcproj

I am running everything as Administrator

Still not working.
