Garfieldo Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Hello people, since I started using the 64 bit version recently (last patch or so?), I constantly encounter the following problem on my flights: The in-cockpit view seems to shake/snap back and forth/reset along the z-axis for no particular reason. I normally use Freetrack with a 3-led-clip, but this also happens when not using any kind of headtracking software. The attached track was recorded without Freetrack on a vanilla FULL install of the latest build. The first snap occurs after the 2 trucks at the first WP are taken out. It seems the more I change the view (via numpad), the more it snaps/jiggles afterwards. I use a X-52 Pro, but have no axis defined for changing anything view-related. Thanks to anybody who takes his time to watch the track or contribute to the problem. BTW: Why is such a short track already 5 MB big?ZoomProblem.trk
Aginor Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I have a similar problem sometimes, although it may be connected with my HOTAS in my case, I don't know. When I increase or decrease throttle sometimes my view zoom jumps back and forth. I have view zoom assigned to a wheel on my stick, but I'm fairly certain that it does not move on its own, and I'm not touching it either. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
Garfieldo Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 Maybe a bigger deadzone for the wheel would help in your case? When I look at the settings for my X-52 in the Control Panel, I see that the wheels "shake" quite a bit on their own.
Garfieldo Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Just found out that I mixed up GAME and REAL settings in options. NOW there's no axis (rotary) assigned to zoom, and the jittering is fixed.
