skoner Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 sometimes in battle field aircraft take damage and goes through some system failure but if the aircraft can still go she has to land at AB and then just shut down the engines after a while ground crew fix the aircraft automatically. generally, after ground crew fixing service the aircraft is fine when the aircraft regain power but in the case of CDU failure there is some difference even if the aircraft's fixed by ground crew there is still system failure when i restart the engines i can't fix my ship in this case .... Haw.... i can't align EGI and CDu show some system failure how can i fix this problem ? thanks
GGTharos Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 You cannot. Get a new plane :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Frostiken Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 What he meant to say is that it's a known bug and will be fixed in the next update. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Gonzo01 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I don't see this bug listed to be fixed in the next update. It seems unrealistic to get a new aircraft since this will cause you to lose your score. This problem happen's to me whenever I land and shutdown the aircraft for repairs in multiplayer mode. I cannot get the CDU, EGI or DTS to start back up. The CDU display remains empty even after I turn the power back on and I cannot get the the DTS to reload.
dok_rp Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 There quite a few number of "damages" that will not be fixed even if you land at a friendly base and wait for the 3-4 minutes. From the top of my head I can remember: 1) Burnt laser from Shkval in the Black Shark. An easy way to circumvent this is by doing a rough landing and ripping one of your tires. :D 2) Jettisoned canopy in the A-10. I've also tried ripping the tires to see if they'd fix my canopy, but there was no joy in that attempt. :D
Gonzo01 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The system was not damaged. I just shutdown the aircraft to rearm and refuel and was unable to start it up again.
kylania Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The system was not damaged. I just shutdown the aircraft to rearm and refuel and was unable to start it up again. You don't need to shutdown to refuel or rearm. You don't even really have to fully shutdown to repair, just kill the engines. If you turn on ground power before doing so you don't even have to realign or reset any of your systems (other than DSMS) to get back in the air. After repair just restart APU, then the engines, shutdown APU, disconnect ground power and off you go! nomdeplume Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The system was not damaged. I just shutdown the aircraft to rearm and refuel and was unable to start it up again. Does this only happen in multiplayer or in single-player too? It might be helpful if you could post a track of your shutdown and restart procedure. That way if the procedure is correct, the friendly testers can add it to the bug database. Perhaps try a simple runway start mission (to get into a running aircraft quickly), and then shut the aircraft down, and then re-start it.
