Is the current level of engine noise in the A-10 cockpit realistic?

Good idea. :smartass:

I also did the same for the "wind" files:

As for the wind, I had a really cool experience the other night. I was trying, quite unsuccessfully, to mid-air refuel and every time I opened my speed breaks just a little bit you could subtly hear the added wind resistance. Way cool. :) It's little things like that which really make this sim great.

Stumbled on this at the BMS site. It's not an A-10 but it does speak to the cockpit noise issue.

Wow, by using everyone's tips, I was able to reduce the stall warning, master caution and of course all the engine noise. So much more enjoyable to fly now.

Sounds like virtual earplugs!
