Weta43 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I was just reading that thread about infantry & it occured to me that : That mod someone did where the files for trees were copied & re-named as the various coloured containers in the ground units list, - it would be great to have in the 1.11 patch & surely would only take minutes for ED (with access tothe code) to do - add names trees_1, trees_2, trees_3 to the list of ground objects then copy, paste & rename the existing tree files into the ground object folder. Trident Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 For 1.2? I assume they're 3D trees, if so I can't wait to see them! I just hope the FPS won't suffer, I currently run LOMAC on fairly high settings but this also means that even slightly worse performance will force me to turn off some options as I have a pretty slim margin before it affects playability.
Weta43 Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Just a thought - if poss - leave them as the same class of objects as buildings / vehicles that way the contrast logic in the targetting sytem will lock on a tree near something you're targetting if you're not carefull with the cursor or target size box - probably more realistic (not sure), defininately more fun/challenging.
