ReaperLV Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I dunno about DCS, but in FC there is config tool, where you can change your F4 camera position. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/LVreaper
cichlidfan Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 It took me a bit to find it...sorry. This may not be the exact camera position used but this shows how to relocate the 'LShift+F4' (Lookback) view. This puts it in a position close to what it looks like they used for the vid but I have not used it in a while so I can't recall exactly where it ends up. It should get you going either way.;) http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1233386&postcount=1 ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! popov Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 @ cichlidfan , thx for your reply. I tried but doesnt seem that it works for me... I must do something wrong somewhere. I have found actually many Server.lua file... but I manage logically thinking that the one to edit must be the one in the /Config/View folder. I changed the the lines like I was suppose to : from : CameraTerrainRestriction = True to CameraTerrainRestriction = False and RearCameraPos = {} for RearCameraPos = {o[1] - 11.8 ,o[2] - 2.5, o[3]} I'm testing into a mission editor that I did to test it quick and hit Left Shoft F4 and I still get the regular view from behind... cant seem to understand really how this should work... popov Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 also... is this suppose to work only in multi when playing or it should work in replays also? cichlidfan Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 (edited) It should work anywhere. You are moving the focal point of the camera to just underneath the center of the aircraft. The camera moves about a circle about as wide as the wings. You edited the correct file it seems. It should have looked like this before: for i,o in pairs(CockpitLocalPoint) do RearCameraAnglesDefault[i] = {180,-8.0} RearCameraPos[i] = {o[1] - 3.7 ,o[2] + 2.4, o[3]} and like this after: for i,o in pairs(CockpitLocalPoint) do RearCameraAnglesDefault[i] = {180,-8.0} RearCameraPos[i] = {o[1] - 11.8 ,o[2] - 2.5, o[3]} In fact, a few days ago I made that change to my current installation and it worked fine. I will look at it again just to make sure and let you know if there is something overlooked.
