adam12 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I want to tell BS to use the normal, non force feedback trimming method, where it resets the centre position of the joystick to match where the flight stick (in the game) is set. How do I tell BS that my joystick is not a FF joystick?
Nate--IRL-- Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Go to \DCS - Black Shark\Config\producer.cfg and change ForceFeedbackEnabled = true; to ForceFeedbackEnabled = false; Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Jaximus Decimus Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) Resetting the center position of the stick IS the force feedback trimming method. The NON FFB method requires that the stick be returned to its actual center position after trimming. The FFB method will change the center position of the stick when you press trim. If this isn't working you need to be looking at your FFB settings in your profiler, and the FFB settings in Black Shark, namely the "Trim Force" slider. That is, if I understand you correctly. The FFB method in KA-50 is that when you press the trim button, the joystick forces hold the *joystick* in position for you, be that forward or after, left or right. The cyclic in the game is directly slaved to the joystick and your joystick centre is also cyclic centre. The no FF method is that the centre position of the *joystick* is set to hold the cyclic in the position at the time of trim.
