DCS Blackshark retail version

I just wanted to check, I have purchased a retail copy of Blackshark and I am waiting for it to arrive, Can I download from the DCS web site and use the code in the box when it gets here?

 

and will it be associated with my DCS A-10 account and details when I do activate ?

Not sure about it being associated with A-10 but yes you should be able to use the code in the box.

Regarding "A-10 account", no. Purchases made outside of that site cannot be tracked by ED. For this reason, make certain to store your licence key as the valuable document it is.

As an aside, btw, that might help for such things: if you make a periodic backup of your Windows install, this will include registry, which will include license keys for all games you have installed (or at least most - I'm not 100% certain how the Steam internal DRM handles keys since they're locked to the account). :)

 

Nice way to afford yourself a "last resort" option to include everything you use. :)
