Time limitations for TGP or Mavericks?

Hi to all,

 

have some questions.

 

1, Is there a time limitation for using TGP or Maverick?

 

Now that i understand more and more about this great sim i asked that myself.

 

I mean is it possible that one of those devices are running hot or can i switch them on before taking off?

TGP runs indefinitely in my experience, however, the Maverick has an EO timer.

 

It needs to warm up, which takes about 3 minutes, and runs for about 30-40 minutes, but after that time, you will get a EO timer warning, and you will need to shut the maverick off, then back on.

 

You can also choose to activate it by setting it up to turn on a certain amount of time before hitting a waypoint. Not exactly sure where that option is, but I never had any need to use that function as of yet.

The Maverick has that EO warning, but I have never had any adverse effects by leaving my Mavericks on past 30 minutes. I'd like to know if there is even any adverse effects modeled.

Real world mavs are limited to 30 mins of video per missile each mission and a total of 60 minutes EO time.

Thanks Eddie for any help. As i wrote i do use the EO on carefully. Didnt know that before so iam happy to know it now.
