JACN Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Hi, I´ve always used forcefeedback enabled with LO in order to have the greatest immersion possible. Even when I had read that it was a important fps killer. I didn´t believe it until I put forcefeedback=0.... OMG :icon_eek: !! my fps went up 5-8 fps avg.!!! and also that horrible micro-stutter vanished. Now my fps counter is stuck in 50-54 fps (all maxed except water and shadows-both one step back). How can it be so HUGE FPS KILLER???!!!. Disabling it makes the same difference as going from Scenery High to Medium (even more because it runs far smoother, no stuttering). I know Developers are going to introduce some revision in the forcefeedback routines with the next patch. Are they going to solve this problem?. I always use forcefeedback effects with other sims (IL-2, Falcon4) and never have noticed such a high performance hit :( Hope it can be pulished. ;) Regards,
VanillaChris Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 where did you set Forcefeedback to 0 ? In which file? S! Eagle
Mustang Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Config - open producer.cfg with wordpad, change ForceFeedbackEnabled = true; to ForceFeedbackEnabled = false;
