chromium Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Ok, do you know what exactly I will have to expect to be broken opening a BS1 mission in BS2? (es. trigger builded in BS1 do no show the "EVENT" option in the first column). The actual scenario over I build the missions (attached) only have few stupid trigggers and a lot of groups, some active some not, etc. Could make me insane to rebuild from scratch. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
ZoomBoy27 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Have you loaded the BS1.0 mission into BS2 and then quickly File | Save As... ?? STP Dragon Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Technically the editor should open and save the mission. In some of my missions I had to remove A.I. aircrafts with "Ground Attack" because of a error message after press the SAVE button. But also if you don't have a error message, you have to rework many things in the mission. There are so many changes of little things. The "missionflow" is not the same as in BS1. Also you have much more options. You are able to do some things a better way as in BS1. chromium Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 I know a bit about the new ME and I already love it. the mission attached, as describet, have only some moving groups and few fast-reworkable triggers, cause is a static scenery used for build a sequence of multiplayer mission (something similar to a multiplayer campaing... every unit has its unique name, easy tracked by Tacview... all credits goes to Blindspot and Nomedeplume for this ;) ). I did not have any errors saving the file. Than... I hope it will work after reproducing the triggers. I'll let you know :) Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. EvilBivol-1 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Of course it depends on what was set in the original mission, but in some cases you may need to fix errors with targeting points. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
chromium Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 There are not targeting point, cause it's only a layout scenery :). And that's makes me happy :) So... a last question: the "old" trigger already in the mission will work even without the "ON EVENT" option? STP Dragon Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 As I remember right (I'm not on my PC) in my old missions (opened with BS2) this is missing too and they work fine. Till now I didn't create a new mission. Do you mean this is missing only for old missions?? By default, triggers have no Events added, so old missions have no problems woith this. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
