Is there an easy way to get vehicles to patrol? So far ive just added a bunch of waypoints.

But say i wanted them to drive in a circle? Or circle a set number of waypoints?

Silly when attacking a city and every enemy vehicles are just sitting there.

Sadly, sadly, sadly no.

I also added hundreds of waypoints to get a convoy driveing arround for 3h.

And this leads to performance problems of the editor.

Well, that's a disappointment. I'll just use waypoints then. Gets a bit heavy with several groups with lots of WPs each :)

If you set one waypoint and the next pretty far apart, the route around (just in order to get from WP1 to 2) can be pretty long! You only need to add more waypoints at crossroads if you want to control where they go, but I never thought that this was a difficulty? :)

In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust...

In real life I fly a humble Cessna Hawx XP II with 210 HP :D

Use "Stop and deploy to template" and use multiple templates. Spread your vehicles out. You should be able to get them to patrol. Just make sure you trigger the stop and deploy to template action repeatedly if it is a huge template, the vehicles will stop after a few minutes.

Anyway, I'm going to use this eventually in a mission or two- you should be able to use it to make vehicles TRULY scatter after coming under air attack.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.
