Zlin Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Hey everyone. I just had a few questions about multi-player missions. Q. I have created mission goals and assigned score values to them but it seems that the scoring system is not accurate. One pilot seems to get a higher score for destroying targets than what I have even assigned in the mission. Ex: I have 3 targets, each worth 10 points, yet one pilot has a score of over 200 pts. Why is that happening? Q. Is there any way to show a mission debriefing at the end of the mission. I have tried using a trigger to trigger and "END MISSION" condition, but the debrief screen does not show up. Q. For each mission/pilot, does the game itself store any type of log for each pilot in a file that could be extracted or viewed somehow? Thanks in advance for any response. I think DSC/ED has done a fantastic job with A-10c Warthog and hope they continue to develop future releases.
Geskes Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) 1. The scores are percentages and they are for the entire coalitions, not for individual pilots. Pilots get score assigned for killing stuff but AFAIK you cannot control this individual pilot score. So in your example if blue coalition takes all three targets they will have +30% mission score. 2. BS2 has a live debriefing screen so I guess with new patch a-10 will have it too. You can then just press " and get a debriefing screen up till now. (while in-sim) 3. I don't know. This really does explain a lot. I was trying to build a MP mission, something that might eventually grow into a MP campaign, and I was struggling with this same question. Good gouge here, thanks. Ripcord Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Q. Is there any way to show a mission debriefing at the end of the mission. I have tried using a trigger to trigger and "END MISSION" condition, but the debrief screen does not show up. You might be able to do a kind of message to coalition in-game text that triggers if/when the player returns to base, lands and parks. You could even require the player to land, park, shut down engines and open his canopy, in order to trigger it, in fact. OK, sure, not the same as a proper debriefing screen, I realize, but it might be something like a summary debrief, something short, just to say, "Tusk Flight, good job, you guys took out your primary target and prevent the enemy from advancing." or whatever the outcome was. Could be something to signal approximately what kind of score they amassed. Would need a series of triggers for this obviously. Ripcord [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Zlin Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 Thanks for the replies. I have more mission ideas than I have knowledge on how to implement them. :)
degoe Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Will a mission end trigger also initiate a mission restart? If not, is it possible to initiate an mission restart automatically? I am trying to make an short mission that restarts when either red or blue wins.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
