malencar Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Hello everybody, I need to deliver a project for one of my clients (I'm in advertising) and we need scenes from a 1st person perspective from the inside of a cockpit of a WWII P51 American Mustang. We need the graphics to look as realistic as possible and we can capture off of any platform (PC, MAC, Xbox, Playstation...). We were originally going to shoot film but we had problems securing the right airplane in time and now we're too close to our deadline. Could you guys please advise what would be the best-looking, most realistic flight simulator that included the P51? We are going to give it a visual treatment that will help hide the fact that it is 3D, but looking as close as possible to the real thing is a must. Greatly appreciate any help. Thanks
PeterP Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) IL2 - Cliffs of Dover what may also work is Wing of Prey: Have a nice weekend ;) Make sure you have a TrackIR when capturing the Cockpit - or it will look really static. Edited November 11, 2011 by PeterP
EtherealN Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Didn't A2A release a mustang as well? With some good after-market terrain packs that might works as well. PeterP Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Thought also about that - but it can quiet be a real hassle to set up FSX to look nice - and there are also not so nice cockpit-shadows and HDR effects as in IL2 or WoP. When only want to capture nice/realistic shoots - IL2 or WoP is the way to go. Edit: Maybe someone can post a better example-vid of a in-game cockpit view like I did for malencar - I don't have the time to search/view them - there are sure better ones. monotwix Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I recommend 3D pros and artists, and to find them is easy, they are everywhere in flight forums. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
