dooom Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 If I make a coop 6 a10c misison and have a team of F16 perform SEAD strikes, will the client aircraft receive any validation that enemy air defenses are down by virtue of monitoring the F16 radio channel or do i have to create a trigger with a text message/voice over? I'd like to force the players to monitor the uhf frequency of the F16 but do not recall whether AI will actually call out their ingress/attack/splash/egress... Druid_ Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 The F-16s will let you know that they are attacking a SAM / Radar site. Can't quite remember if they actually confirm a kill on it but if its still emitting then they will keep launching until they are out of missiles. To check this kind of stuff, I usually quickly build a test mission and run it. Shouldn't take more than 10 mins to check. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
nomdeplume Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 The AI do make calls when the targets are destroyed. However it can be difficult to track, especially if you have multiple flights which may engage the same target. You may therefore hear two "in from the south engaging sam at bulls x for y" and then one "kill sam at bulls x for y". Does that mean they got the one target, or were there two sams at that location and one is still active? They will also call out when they're passing waypoints, so if you're confident the flight will always take out all the SAMs, you could in the briefing instruct players to wait until the flights announce that they're passing waypoint X, where X is their egress waypoint.
