exodus Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Looking to get a new video card and I want the best performing hardware for A10. Currently running an i7 with 8 gigs ram, 64 bit OS. I have an AMD 5970, but the card is dying and it never used both cores with A-10 anyway. So what is the best/fastest video card currently available for A-10?
metalnwood Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 If you are going high end then it probably doesnt matter too much. I run four screens on a 6970 and going from an 5990 to the 6970 made a nice difference, mostly because of the 2gig of vram I believe.
hassata Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 If multi-monitor, than ATI. I upgraded form a 4850 to a 6970 and am very happy with the results. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
scheffchen Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 on single monitor fastest single gpu card is a gtx 580. i like mine =) 9900k, 2080TI, 64GB, ssd, valve index, Thrustmaster on virpil, virpil cm2 throttle, tpr pedals, mfd.
jazjar Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 The video card shouldn't matter all that much. DCS A -10 C, for me, takes up a lot of processing power, and not too much video card usage. However, I will be getting a dual 6870 and 5770 combo for thanksgiving, so there is my graphics processing unit right there. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Krebs20 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 How do you rate this card? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130687 If you wanted to tweak graphics for longer draw distances would this be worth the price over a 560ti 2gb? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Scudslaker Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 in my eyes..a single fan gfx card like this EVGA card, will result in heavy fan noise, surrounding your flight experience..i think 570gtx in general is a good choice.. but me, i ve chosen a 560ti and am happy with it..i have no problems in flight simulations so far.. btw..what does your pit building? any progresses? cheers SCUD TM HOTAS WH :joystick:, Saitek Pro Pedals, Track IR 4, 2xJoyWarrier, 1x KeyWarrior, i52500k @4600MHz, ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, NV 670GT, SSD+ WD BC+ WD Raptor, 32HD:pilotfly:[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
