cadete2000 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I have an i5 680 2 3.60 Mgh, with high scenery frames are no more than 10 and with low they reach 18 FPS,I use W7,ATI 5770,so is there anything better to at least ply this game @ 30 FPS?
Inseckt Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 hm, Im no expert, but I would think that that CPU should give better FPS. Are your numbers from a mission with alot going on? or from a empty free-flight mission? Reason I ask is because it seems to matter more than scenery etc. Help Beczl with his DCS MiG-21Bis project by Pre-Ordering DCS MiG-21Bis module NOW! CLICK HERE TO GO TO PRE-ORDER PAGE AT INDIEGOGO
Krebs20 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 What resolution are you trying to play at? Your I5 should be fast enough. I suspect your 5770 holding you back. How much vram does your gpu have? There are more things to look at however. What is your win7? 64 or 32 bit? How much RAM do you have? If you are running 32 bit with less than 2gb you can will have fps issues. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Download & install "AMD system monitor", start it, then DCS:A10C, play a little, leave DCS and check diagrams. The line close to 100% load is your bottleneck (be it cpu, gpu, or ram). I think it is your graphics-card...
Total Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 ^^ Agreed. A single GTX460 will perform almost as well as two 5770's in crossfire mode.
