speckfire Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) windsock on the airfield. I mean we have everything from ILS to NDB and Tacan..Is a basic airfield requirement like a windsock too much to implement? I got tired looking for chimney smoke all the time LOL. Demongornot Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 +1 but not only that, we miss a lot of things Ground crew miss too, not only visual bug only 4 options its not really nice, we miss a lot of things like wheel chocks, cause for big wind the aircraft will moving before we finish the startup, we miss the guy who help us for check the control surface cause with random failure that can stop to work and in internal view we can't see the rear (and a simulator must be done for internal view, before i hear: use external view), the guy who guide us, for take off its just eye candy but for landing, when we never know where coming that's can be nice and more and more and more... We miss the windsock its true, we miss a lot of things in airport... 1 CPU : I7 6700k, MB : MSI Z170A GAMING M3, GC : EVGA GTX 1080ti SC2 GAMING iCX, RAM : DDR4 HyperX Fury 4 x 8 Go 2666 MHz CAS 15, STORAGE : Windows 10 on SSD, games on HDDs. PeterP Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I think we have right now about 3 threads about this in the "wish list"... I even consider if a windsock is to difficult - to put a chimney at the level of a airfield (the smoke of them also points in the right direction...)- only to see where the wind is going... So here is my +1 again.
Phantom88 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 There are Plenty of Huge Windsocks in the DCS Next aircraft wish list thread,Myself included,Take your pick!:megalol:! 1 Patrick

bluepilot76 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Definately +1 they have them in RoF, why cant we have them too? Not been much of a problem in the A-10 but would be really useful in the Shark. Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... GTX460m 1.5GB ... 8GB DDR5 RAM ... Win7 64 ... PeterP Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Before this thread derails entirely (I'm also not innocent in this)... Please watch this http://www.aeroflyfs.com/images/neuehp/_afs/video/flugphysik.html?TB_iframe=true&height=440&width=680 pay especially attention to 0:40 how the flags behave in the wind.
