Fish Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Hi all, Wondering if there's a way to slow this down. Finding, especially with Mav's, and Kh29ths etc, it moves very quickly. Ive programmed my hotas (cougar with a delay on my microstick, but even a single key strike makes it jump across the screen a little. I'm able to do it, by getting a crude position with the stick or keys, then with the aircraft controls, fine tuning to get it on target. Thats not easy if some AP has been engaged. Vosxod Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Have nothing to say except I'm WERY frustrated with this as well. I cannot believe anyone in sober mind would not see how inconvinient this is... :(
Weta43 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 You are getting it rougly in place, locking then fine tuning it rather than trying to get it on target straight away aren't you? Once it's locked the travel rate slows down. The travel is accelerated so at first it moves slowly & the longer you hold it the faster it goes. Did the programmed delay make it better or worse ? I'm pretty sure that somewhere in one of the .LUA files I found a variable for the amount of acceleration - maybe have a hunt around & try editing that if all else fails Cheers.
Fish Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 that i'd be great If you could find the parameter. I know about the initial lock, which gyro stabilises it, but sometimes it jumps onto another 'target', and this takes more time to move and lock onto primary target. Still think it should be 'smooth' and not 'step' Fish's Flight Sim Videos [sIGPIC]I13700k, RTX4090, 64gb ram @ 3600, superUltraWide 5120x1440, 2560x1440, 1920x1080, Warthog, Tusba TQS, Reverb VR1000, Pico 4, Wifi6 router, 360/36 internet[/sIGPIC]
Vati Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Map mouse axis. However there is one problem with this. A10 and Su25T have different mapping for sensor cursor moving :/ This means that you will need to remap keys when switching between the planes. Wish all had it under 'designator box'... maybe a bug? http://www.condorsoaring.com
Fish Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 Map mouse axis. However there is one problem with this. A10 and Su25T................... Hud cursor, and corresponding MFD cursor all work fine for me from the same set of keys, in all aircraft, with both ground and air sensors. ,./; keys do the job all the time. Only thing thats different is the A2A radar scan cone, which are separate keys. I have them mapped to the 'shf' microstick movement on my cursor, and that seems to work fine. 1 Fish's Flight Sim Videos [sIGPIC]I13700k, RTX4090, 64gb ram @ 3600, superUltraWide 5120x1440, 2560x1440, 1920x1080, Warthog, Tusba TQS, Reverb VR1000, Pico 4, Wifi6 router, 360/36 internet[/sIGPIC]
TheMoose Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Raising an old thread, now that I’m using and X-45 I have this issue. Besides of re mapping. Is there a CFG or LUA file settings that allows modification of the speed of the cursor movement in the TV display? It's too fast... Assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
