Polar-eX Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Hi, Im following the training mission. Before i did i finally managed to set all primary HOTAS functions for different types of hardware surrounding me, since i dont own a HOTAS. For example: i have set the TMS FBLR to four keystrokes at my keyboard. As i follow the training mission the teacher asks me to press a TMS button. Whatever i do, the it wont accept my keypress. Going back at the control config page, i see i pressed the right button that i configured for TMS. This is just a example. Strange enough it does work with the HOTAS training. rud Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Not sure which training you're doing, but the TMS has different functions depending on whether you press and hold it (long) or just tap it (short). Make sure you get not only the right button but for the right length of time.
Polar-eX Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Trying to designate the tadpole in the hud as SPI with the TMS up long. But it wont work. I have set the TMS keys up, down, left and right to the keys "T - G - F - H. So i set the hud as soi, slew the tadpole to position x and i want to set the tadpole as SPI with the TMS up long. This does not work in this training. As i follow the HOTAS training i am able to set the tadpole as spi with the T key... The Maximum range is 13nm when attending to set the SPI with the TDC on the HUD. In that particular mission you are probably attempting to set the SPI whilst not in range (height/slant angle), indicative by the X superimposed on the TDC. Slew the TDC closer to the nose of the plane and set SPI. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder!
