hi the older electric pylon are better realistic , the actual (bs2 or a10 1.1.1.0)are ugly and cable too "fat" ;) need the oler model maybee a mod can be done :noexpression:(in the end it's a waste of 3D modelelisation resource :doh:)

i agree the cables look very poor. alter it back.

the structures are good, the cables are too thick... also, I think the visibility of the structure should be increased to about 8-10km.

I need to bump this thread as I would like to see ED increasing draw distance for powerlines/poles a bit. Right now with LOD in Graphics.cfg set to 1 (default) they show till about 1-1.5km and that's really too short... I can change LOD value to 2 or more and that will extend draw distance for them but it will affect all 3D objects in game and it makes performance hit.

 

ED did great job in fixinf the railway bridge LOD so can you please do the same with electrical powerlines/poles?

 

And one more thing... the electrical powerstation building which is at the end of every powerline is way too visible at distance... it is completely white and sticks out at distance a lot, even some 20km out (I have districts distance increased to 22km which is why I can see this building that far out). I think the LOD for this building is buged and most likely is missing texture at low lever LOD.
