Striker121 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I recently bought DCS A-10 but I'm having a problem. I don't want to use the STT profiler for a few reasons, mainly because the simplest keybind setup I found, SFJackBauer's, doesn't use it, but also because others report some issues with it. Yet if I bind any controls in game under the X52 category, they don't actually work in game. The buttons ARE recognized, they show up fine in the settings but if I say, bind EXIT to every single button on the joystick, none of the buttons will do anything. It seems that ANY keybind whatever for the joystick beyond using the joystick/throttle axis doesn't actually work while playing. I've reinstalled the drivers twice but it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone know what I can do?
cichlidfan Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 There are two modes the sim can operate in, Game or Sim. They each maintain their own set of key/controller configuration files. If you set your keys up when it is in one mode and then try to fly in the other the problem you describe will occur. Near the upper left of the options screen is a pulldown for selecting the mode. If this is not the issue then the next thng to try is deleting the Saved Games folder. C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog That will reset your config files and may fix the problem.
