I can run an instant action in BS2 and fly a mission and it works (though noticeably slower fps than BS1). When I launch a campaign dcs.exe crashes after choosing the mission and before mission summary shows up. I read about the /3GB switch and added that to my startup and rebooted. Now it gets as far as the mission info panel and then crashes after clicking "Fly". Screen resolution falls to the bottom and 256 colors. AMD x2 270 4GB RAM (3GB fix) Nvidia 8800GTS 512 Win XP 32bit I tried reinstall (wasted some activations), different driver, 3GB switch, let the application decide on AA/vSync but no success. IL-2 Sturmovik runs on my syste, like butter, but BS2 not. Dunno where the crash file is, BS2 does not have the \Temp folder.
Luigi Gorgonzola Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 The BS2 crash files might be located in your "Saved Games" folder in "DCS BlackShark2\Logs" (Win7 here, so I might be wrong, though).

Your screenshot indicates that the (Nvidia) video driver has crashed while the OP's crash is related to DCS directly. Perhaps it can be fixed by installing the latest Nvidia driver.
jurinko Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I have found out that the killer was the "full screen" check. Now it runs somehow with crappy fps (does not matter what settings). I just read that in-game AA/AF settings should be preferred to Nvidia Control panel so will give it a try.

dickymint999 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Crash resolved I resolved my crash issue by turning the force feedback flag off. i have a saitek x52. the default was force feedback on. hope this helps

The computer is an asus CG8250, Win 7 x64, ram 16 gb, 2 hhd x2 tb, geforce gtx 560 ti 1gb, i7 3.4 ghz, antivirus avast.
