MeerCaT Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Thoughts and suggestions much appreciated: 'mouse look' is not working for me in the v1.1.1.1 patch. Camera Horizontal = mouse_x Camera Vertical = mouse_y Camera Zoom = mouse_z There is no movement or response from the camera at all when moving the mouse (when not in 'mouse-clickable-cockpit' mode, of course). This is using my original key config saved from the previous version. I have tried mapping mouse_x/y/z to Absolute Camera Horizontal/Vertical/Zoom but I don't think these 'Absolute' options are intended for mouse input - the result was a slight twitch in the direction of mouse input followed by immediate return to centre. What could be different? Thanks
dillio Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 I had the same problem with the original release of BS2 and I got the following advice from one Patriot*CFS*: You need to edit this file with Notepad++... C:\ProgramFiles\EgaleDynamics\DCSBlackshark\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\clickable_common.lua Scroll down to the bottom and change use_click_and_pan_mode = false to use_click_and_pan_mode = true and save! It worked for me, I hope that helps. I don't know how to work the forum that well but the original thread is: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81136 dillio
MeerCaT Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 I'll try it when I get home, but that sounds very promising. Excellent find! Thank you very much.
MeerCaT Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Sadly what was suggested by dillio is a separate issue to the one I am experiencing. I am still unable to use the mouse to move the camera (even in the external views!) I cannot think what is possibly causing this, but it only happened after upgrading to v1.1.1.1 The POV hat on my Saitek X52 joystick is mapped to camera movement and this DOES work fine. It is only the mouse that is not working for camera control.
Suchacz Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) Did you try to press "LAlt+C"? It enables the mouse-look. If you did, forget about me :smilewink::music_whistling: Edit: Always follow the principle of "Occam's razor" - The simpliest solution is the right solution in most cases  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor See also: Edited December 30, 2011 by Suchacz Per aspera ad astra!
