I designed a american FARP with the Hummer and the 818 transport, but I can't get any radio communication with them, and of course they don't turn on any light for night landing. Any idea of how design a mission that let me communicate with the FARP and made them turn on the lights?

Thanks.

Check the frequency you set when you placed the FARP is the same one as you're communicating on. Also double check you're on AM, it can be switched and has caught me out a couple of times.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

In the cockpit? The orange wheels on the left side of the pit just above the targeting control panel. The windows show the frequency.

I'm asking if I need to select the frequency using the orange wheels only or If I need to push any more button. Thanks.

BTW Mate, rep to you, you're very helpful to new players.

Apart from being on a right frequency you should have a right transmitter on your intercom as well (R-800 / VHF-2 as memory serves, can't check right now).

The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

Yes Stratos. When you want to communicate with the Tower of the airfield you are at, you must put in the frequency of that Tower in the radio control panel on your left hand panel. Look at pages 174-175 of the manual. Those little orange wheels rotate and the numbers change to what you put in them. Put the Tower frequency in. Now use communication menu and talk to Tower.

Also, when you start a mission in single player, the default setting on the radio is (I think 127.5), remember that number or what-ever number is in there because that is the frequency you will use to talk to your wingman.

When you take off and no longer need to talk to Tower, you switch that frequency on the radio to 127.5 in order to be able to give commands to your wingman and hear him over the radio. When approaching back to the airport for landing, put in the frequency for the tower.
